March 5, 2021 Dear Families, Chicago neighborhoods came alive this week as thousands of students in kindergarten through fifth grade returned to school for the first time in nearly a year. The excitement on their faces was infectious, and their voices brought a level of energy that has been absent from our schools for far too long. Updates to Daily Health Screener
Attention Pulaski Families – Hot off the press from CPS! An update regarding the Pulaski health screener: CPS Updated the Daily Health Screener to only have one building location for Pulaski. The “PULASKI – ANNEX: 2230 W MCLEAN AVE” option has been removed from the health screener in an effort to alleviate technical problems we have been experiencing. NOW parents will only be able to choose “PULASKI – MAIN: 2230 W MCLEAN AVE” This should simplify the process. We are excited for the return of in-person learning, and want you to know that our school is fully ready to welcome students and staff back safely. I wanted to provide a few updates about our schedule for next week. K-5 teachers and staff will return to the building next week February 22nd-26th. Dear CPS Families, The safety of our students is the district’s highest priority, especially when weather conditions are potentially dangerous. Due to the significant snowfall already on the ground and anticipated inclement weather in the hours ahead, in-person learning is canceled at all CPS schools tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16. Classes will be held remotely for all students. All students should engage in remote learning on Tuesday and should plan to stay indoors for their safety. Grab-and-go meal distribution will continue tomorrow, but some sites may be impacted if staff have transportation challenges in the morning. Families are encouraged to visit cps.edu/mealsites [...]
